Ronald F. Cresto, 72, a longtime resident of Brookfield and formerly of Joliet, died Jan. 21, 2015 at LaGrange memorial Hospital.

Mr. Cresto served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966 and worked for more than 40 years as an accountant at FMC Corp. and at JBT Corp., both in Chicago, retiring in 2013. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears.

He is survived by his wife, Mary M. “Margie” Cresto (nee Zimmerman); his sons, Scott (Jessica) Cresto, Gregory (Margaret) Cresto and Douglas Cresto; his granddaughter, Katherine Rose Cresto; and his sisters, Joanne Legerski and Mary Babich.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Jan. 24 at St. Barbara Church in Brookfield, followed by interment at Abraham Lincoln Cemetery in Elwood.
