BULLDOG YOUTH QB-WR ACADEMY
Location: Riverside-Brookfield High School field house (160 Ridgewood Road, Riverside, IL. 60546)
Dates: March 22, April 12, April 19, April 26, May 3, May 10 (all Sundays)
Time: 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Participants: Open to boys currently in 5th through 8th grade.
Riverside-Brookfield High School football head coach Brendan Curtin and the RBHS football staff present a top-level training and instructional camp geared toward 5th – 8th grade level quarterbacks and receivers. Whether just starting out or playing for years, these passing sessions will provide a youth quarterback with the skills necessary to take his game to the next level!
Focus on the Fundamentals!
Each session at the Bulldog Youth Camp will teach the fundamentals of Quarterback and Receiver play through drills and intense repetition.
Instruction at the 2015 Bulldog Youth Camp will focus on:
- Throwing Mechanics
- Footwork in all drops (including sprint-outs and shotgun)
- Run game mechanics
- Classroom work/film study
- Agility and route-running
- Proper catching techniques
- Stances and blocking skills
This is a non-padded, no-contact camp. Participants are encouraged to bring their own football, spikes and gym shoes.

Coach Curtin’s football background
A former high school and college quarterback, Riverside-Brookfield head coach Brendan Curtin has been coaching quarterbacks and receivers for 19 years. Throughout his career, as an offensive coordinator, his squads have averaged over 30 points per game. Additionally, he has coached dozens of quarterbacks and wide receivers who have advanced to compete at the college level. Aside from his head coaching duties at Riverside-Brookfield, Curtin has also been a counselor at the numerous prestigious QB camps. Many quarterbacks and receivers during Curtin’s tenure have gone on to earn post-season recognition and awards.
