Regarding the letter, “What’s the Landmark’s Solution?” (Opinion, March 4), it is not the Landmark’s or any newspaper’s job to come up with solutions for the state’s problems.

Newspapers are supposed to report the news objectively and act as watchdogs. Ask the politicians to propose solutions. If all the politicians want to do is complain, don’t blame the newspaper. Reporters are paid to report the news and politicians are paid to solve the state’s problems.
