Rosemary Ivanic (nee Gildroy), 92, a longtime resident of Brookfield, died April 20, 2015 at LaGrange Memorial Hospital.

 Ms. Ivanic lived in Brookfield since 1956, and was married to Edward Ivanic, who preceded his wife in death on June 6, 1995.

She worked as a telephone operator for 30 years for the Illinois Bell Telephone Company, retiring in 1987. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and enjoyed being with her grandchildren and staying up on current events.

Ms. Ivanic was the mother of Tom (Michelle) Ivanic, Janet Ivanic, Kathy (Jim) Mathy, the late Glenn Ivanic and the late Daniel Ivanic; the grandmother of Adam Mathy, Christopher Mathy, Lucas Ivanic and Hayley Ivanic; and the sister of Maureen (John) Sheehan and the late Edward, William and Donald Gildroy and the late Elaine Kelly and Patricia Cooney.

A funeral Mass was celebrated April 25 at St. Barbara Church in Brookfield, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
