Thank you to the many businesses and organizations that participated in the Resource Fair co-sponsored by Riverside Area Inclusion Network (RAIN) and Community Support Services. We were happy to see parents and educators come to learn more about ways we can support children of all abilities.
Our vendors included Apraxia Association, Aspire Kids, Avatalker AAC, Brain Shape Center, Center for the Gifted, CSS, Educational Surrogate Jim Even, Edward Jones, LADSE, North Riverside Parks and Recreation, Parenthesis, Riverside Parks and Recreation UCP Seguin, Shared Vision, Tallgrass Sudbury School, Thomas Clark Law, and TMS Psychological Associates
Jaci McCarty, yoga and meditation instructor, and Bridget LaPietra, owner of Skills Tutoring, both gave informative and useful presentations, and Advanced Physical Medicine offered visitors free chair massages.
Another big thank you to Riverside Foods, Flur, and Costco of North Riverside for donating refreshments for the day.
We welcome any ideas for ways we can continue to support parents and promote an inclusive community. RAIN meets the third Wednesday of the month in the quiet room of the Riverside Public Library at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome. For more information, please contact me at 708-447-8648.
