Edward S. Michniewicz Jr., 64, of North Riverside, died unexpectedly on July 13 at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.
Mr. Michniewicz was a cancer survivor, Amtrak locomotive mechanic, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He is loved and will be missed very much.
He leaved behind his two sons Jason (Helen, nee Velesiotis) and Jeremiah; three granddaughters, Anna, Ella and Mia; his great love in life, Mandi; his mother, Victoria (nee Lesniak); his twin brother, Richard (Pam, nee Greminger); his sister, Rosemary (Jody); his goddaughter, Abbie; his niece, Rachel; his nephew, Jonathan; and numerous cousins and countless friends.
Mr. Michniewicz was preceded in death by his father, Edward Michniewicz Sr., his uncle Stanley and sister Mary Ann. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.ofg, in memory of Ed.
A funeral Mass was celebrated July 20 at Mater Christi Church in North Riverside, followed by burial at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
