Catherine Ann Colgrass-Edwards, 68, a lifelong Brookfield resident, died Aug. 5, 2015 at her home.
Born in Berwyn on Oct.14, 1946, she attended S.E. Gross Elementary School, Riverside-Brookfield High School and organized many local reunions and events. Ms. Colgrass-Edwards was a dedicated servant, ambassador, and strong proponent of Brookfield.
At the time of her death, she served as village clerk and formerly served two terms as a village trustee after working for nine years as Brookfield’s recreation director.
Ms. Colgrass-Edwards is survived by her son, Hershyl “Mike” N. (Christie) Edwards; siblings, Gloria Colgrass-Lokay and Michael (Ulla) Colgrass; and her many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael C. Colgrass and Anna V. Colgrass. Services have been held. Interment was private.
