All are invited to the Miller Meadow Off-Leash Dog Area grand opening this Saturday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The area is located at 2175 S. First Ave. in Maywood. Experience the wide open seven-acre space, learn about volunteer opportunities, visit with vendors and begin the application process for membership to the area.

Although enjoying Miller Meadow Off-Leash Dog Area with your dog is free during the grand opening, an annual fee of $55 per dog, a veterinarian’s report and an approved application for membership are necessary to enter the area after this Saturday.

To start the membership process now, visit the Forest Preserve District of Cook County’s website at fpdcc.com or apply in person at their headquarters at 536 N. Harlem Ave. in River Forest. Please call (800) 870-3666 if you have any questions concerning Miller Meadow and any of the other off-leash dog areas within the Forest Preserve District of Cook County.
