The North Riverside Recreation Department will host its 7th Annual Autumn Fest and Chili Cook-off on Friday, Sept. 18 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. behind the Village Commons building, 2401 Desplaines Ave.
Professional judges will name which village civic organizations or department will win this year’s Chili Cup, and People’s Choice Award will be given to crowd favorite. There will even be a Junior Chef Award. Chili samples will be offered between 7-8 pm (or until supplies last).
There will also be pumpkin decorating (reserve your pumpkin for decorating for only $2 by calling 708-442-5515 with a Visa or MasterCard), scarecrow contest, inflatables, petting zoo, balloon twisting, face painting, and live music by Dr. Rock.
The evening ends with a sponsored fireworks finale.
