Riverside Presbyterian Church will hold its annual Blessing of the Animals, weather permitting, on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 10 a.m., on the front lawn of the church, 116 Barrypoint Road.
The blessing of the animals is a centuries old tradition, dating back to St. Francis of Assisi. It speaks to the special bond humans have with their pets — the most forgiving and loyal members of the family.
Bring your pets and join in. Bring a lawn chair and anything your pet needs. All are welcome.
