James Patchett

The Frederick Law Olmsted Society will host its annual meeting on Friday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. in the Great Room of the Riverside Public Library, 1 Burling Road.

In addition to its annual reports and election of board members for 2016, the group will host speaker James Patchett, the founder and president of the Conservation Design Forum.

Patchett’s talk will focus on green infrastructure and how it can benefit suburban towns like Riverside. He’ll discuss innovative techniques to improve flood control, enhance water quality and beautify the landscape.

There is no cost to attend the meeting. Refreshments will be served.
