James G. Wieczorek, 67, of Riverside, died on Jan. 31, 2016. 

Born on Jan. 15, 1949, he was a Vietnam War veteran who loved travelling and history. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan, and put up with his wife being a Green Bay Packers fan. 

Mr. Wieczorek is survived by his wife, Mary Mathis (nee Kunz); his stepchildren, Heather Mathis, Jacquie Mathis (Ron Tiedemann) and Jed Mathis (Gina Maier); his grandchildren, Destiny Mathis and Danika Tiedemann; his siblings, John, Harry, Arthur (Deb) and Edward (Bonnie); his aunt, Deloris Dennis; his mother-in-law, Janice Kunz; his sisters-in-law, Jean (Ron) Brinkman, Jane (Mark) Kavanaugh, Sue Kunz and Patricia Johns (David Beyers); his brother-in-law, John (Angela) Kunz; and his many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Lillian Wieczorek; his father-in-law, Oscar Kunz; and brother-in-law, Daniel Johns. 

Visitation will be at Ivins-Moravecek Funeral Home, 80 E. Burlington Road in Riverside on Thursday, Feb. 4 from 3 p.m. until time of a chapel service at 7 p.m., followed by a private Interment.
