Riverside Golf Club will be the location for the Third Annual “Rare But Not Forgotten” fundraiser, which benefits All in for Ethan, a 501(c)3 charitable organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of children suffering from giant axonal neuropathy (GAN).

The charity was established by Riverside residents Gelse and John Tkalec and named for their son, Ethan, who has GAN, a rare disease that progressively attacks the nervous system.

Past donations have allowed the charity to, among other things, provide $20,000 to fund groundbreaking GAN research.

The fundraiser is on Feb. 27 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the golf club, 2520 Desplaines Ave. Tickets are $80 per person include hors d’oeuvres, wine, beer and music. There will also be a silent auction.
