Born on March 7, 1944 in Moline, she graduated from Moline High School and attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison where she earned her nursing degree and was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority.

It was there she met her husband, Mark. Ms. Zubor was an accomplished nurse with a career spent caring for mothers and newborns for 29 years at Loyola University Medical Center.

She was a volunteer for the PTO, the Newcomers Club and the Riverside Swim Club and loved going to plays, musicals, and was a lifetime Chicago Cubs fan who never gave up hope.

Ms. Zubor is survived by her husband of 48 years, Mark; her children, Laura (Patrick) Donahue, Kevin (Caryn), Brian (Rhonda) and Scott; her grandchildren, Colin, Brendan, Clara, Jack and Caroline; and her kid brother (who took great joy in kidding her), Howard (Judy) Westerdahl.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kathryn (Wilson) and Harold Westerdahl; and her brother, Robert.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Feb. 23 at St. Mary Church in Riverside.

Ivins/Moravecek Funeral, Riverside, handled arrangements.
