Mary Ann Hardtke, 70, a resident of Riverside and a former longtime resident of Oak Park, died Feb. 29, 2016.  

Born at Oak Park’s West Suburban Hospital on May 6, 1945 to Jim and Ann Raptis, she was a graduate of Oak Park and River Forest High School and Culver Stockton College.  

Ms. Hardtke taught for many years at Holmes Elementary School and retired in 2006.  She loved walking, gardening, and enjoying family and friends.  

She is survived by her husband, Ray; her daughters, Erin (Michael) Calabrese and Allison (Eric) Golinvaux; her grandsons, Mac and Charlie; her sister, Liz Newell (Jack Kragie); and her nieces. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 6 from 1 p.m. until time of service at 3 p.m. at Drechsler Brown & Williams Funeral Home in Oak Park. The family appreciates donations in her memory to Hephzibah Children’s Association.
