It’s nearly Easter and the villages of Riverside and Brookfield will pave the way by hosting separate Easter Egg Hunts on Saturday, March 19.
The Riverside Parks and Recreation Department will host its Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. at the Riverside Public Works Department, 3860 Columbus Blvd. in Riverside Lawn.
The site can be accessed by turning east on 39th Street immediately south of the Barrypoint Road bridge. Columbus Avenue is the easternmost street on the north side of 39th Street.
The Easter Bunny will be on hand and children are asked to bring an Easter basket to collect eggs.
Meanwhile, the Brookfield Chamber of Commerce will host its Easter Egg Hunt on March 19 at 11 a.m. at Ehlert Park, Congress Park and Elm avenues in Brookfield. Kids can meet the Easter Bunny and hunt for eggs.
Want to skip the egg hunt and still meet the Easter Bunny? You can head over to the Brookfield Elks Lodge, 9022 31st St., for a Pancake Breakfast with the Easter Bunny from 9 a.m. to noon. Tickets ($7 adults, $4 kids under 5) can be purchased at the door.
