Mark A. Camasta, 59, of Lyons, died March 8, 2016.
Mr. Camasta was raised in the Hershey, Pennsylvania, area, one of six children born to Alexander and Tina (nee D’Ambrosio) Camasta. He was an attorney who was very involved in the Boy Scouts of America as a volunteer and leader in LaGrange Park and Lyons.
He also served eight years on the school board of Lyons-Brookfield District 103, and was known as an unconditionally kind man served as a mentor to others.
Mr. Camasta was the husband of the late Ronnette Belser; the father of Michael James Belser Camasta and Marinna Rose Belser Camasta; the son of Tina (nee D’Ambrosio) and the late Alexander Camasta; the brother of Adrianne (Charles) Kihm, Chris (Michele) Camasta, Karen (David) Willey, Craig (Andrea) Camasta and Keith (Teri Miller) Camasta; the uncle of Joe (Chrissy), Carl, Lindsey (Bob) Stuckey, Anthony, Alexis, Genna, Dominic, Luca and August; and the great-uncle of Nathan and Kyle.
A funeral Mass was celebrated March 12 at St. Mary Church in Riverside. Memorial donations for the benefit of Mr. Camasta’s children’s college fund are appreciated to Karen Camasta Willey c/o Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home, 2447 Desplaines Ave., North Riverside, Illinois, 60546 .
A Mass of Remembrance will be held at St. Joan of Arc Church in Hershey, Pennsylvania, at a later date.
