The Second Annual Run for 102 Race to the Finish will kick off on Sunday, May 1 at 3 p.m. The Run for 102 Race to the Finish is a 5K and 1-mile fun run that travels a course through the historic district of La Grange with the proceeds benefiting the PTC/PTOs of Barnsdale Road, Congress Park, Cossitt Avenue, Forest Road, Ogden Avenue and Park Junior High schools.

The LaGrange-Brookfield School District 102 PTOs/PTCs support projects including helping teachers with supplies, books, materials in the libraries and school assemblies. The District 102 PTOs/PTCs are non-profit organizations that raise money and work with teachers and staff to enrich the experience of students.

The start/finish line is located on Cossitt Avenue just east of Gilbert Avenue near Lyons Township High School North campus soccer fields. Last year, the inaugural race had 425 runners.

Race registration and information including sponsorship and volunteer opportunities can be found at www.runfor102.org. Please note that online registration will close on midnight Wednesday, April 27. However, registration forms can also be submitted during packet pick-up and on race day.
