Police in North Riverside and Riverside will join hundreds of local agencies across the state for the spring 2016 Click It or Ticket traffic enforcement campaign, which will run from May 16 through May 30.
Additional patrols funded via grants from the Illinois Department of Transportation will be out in force cracking down on seatbelt law violators and impaired drivers. Illinois law requires all front and back seat occupants in vehicles to be buckled up. Also, children are required to be in a car seat or booster seat until the age of 8.
