Joseph Stanley Cikan, 68, of Brookfield, died on June 3, 2016.
Born on Jan. 28, 1948, Mr. Cikan was a career military man, serving in the U.S. Air Force, from which he retired as a master sergeant. He was a kind, generous, thoughtful man and a conservative and faithful American. He was a true friend to many, a helpful neighbor, and the loving caretaker of Figaro.
Mr. Cikan is survived by his siblings, John (Mary Ellen) Cikan, Donna (James) Kozar, and Marlene Keller, and his nieces and nephews, Jeremy (Angie) Cikan, Julie (John) Van Ejndt, Jamie (Steve) Ayers, David Kozar, Katie Keller, Lea Kozar and Allison Keller.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley Cikan and Mary Cikan (nee Lo Presti).
A funeral Mass was celebrated on June 7 at St. Barbara Church in Brookfield, followed by interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
