The Brookfield Public Library Board of Trustees is looking for a new member after board member Tina Louise Happ resigned her post, because she is moving to Chicago.

Happ served for one year on the board after being elected to a four-year term in 2015. Happ is the associate chief librarian at the Pritzker Military Museum and Library located in downtown Chicago.

“Tina will be sorely missed by everyone at the library,” said Kimberly Coughran, the director of the Brookfield Public Library. “In addition to her steadfast and considerate service, Tina also lent us her extensive fundraising background. We wish her the best.”

The person picked to replace Happ will serve at least until April 2017, when that seat on the board will be up for election to a two-year term.

The library board will pick Happ’s replacement. Those seeking to be appointed should send a resume and a letter of interest with a personal vision of the library to library board President Jennifer Perry at the or mail those materials to Perry at the library’s address, 3609 Grand Blvd. in Brookfield.

Applications to fill the vacancy are due by July 1. Library board members serve without pay.
