The Cook County Medical Examiner has identified the man found dead in the 3500 block of Grand Blvd. on Saturday night as William Lukas, 42, of Brookfield.
The medical examiner conducted an autopsy Sunday but ruled the cause and manner of death won’t be determined until the office receives results of additional tests.

Brookfield police are investigating the death of a man found unresponsive Saturday night at the foot of stairs to residence in the 3500 block of Grand Boulevard.
Police responded to the residence at about 8 p.m. and located an adult male. Paramedics transported the man to Loyola University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 8:31 p.m.
Cook County Sheriff’s evidence technicians are on the scene and police have been canvassing the area as part of the investigation. Police have not yet identified the man, because they are in the process of notifying the family.
The Cook County Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of the man’s death.
“At this time we do not have any indication foul play is involved,” said Police Chief James Episcopo.
