Dorothy Dia Scalfano, 84, of Brookfield and formerly of Chicago, died on May 19, 2017. Born on July 30, 1932, she worked at the Patio Restaurant for 30 years.
Ms. Scalfano was the mother of Cindy Scalfano, Kim Ann Slattery, Paul Scalfano, Mary Ann Slattery and the late Katherine (Amador) Scalfano- Crespo; the grandmother of David (Evangelina) Scalfano, Tony (Sandra) Crespo, Vito (Anita) Scalfano, Victoria (William) Scalfano-Pettitte, Frankie (Eva) Scalfano, Eddie (fiancée Kayla) Scalfano, Sonny Scalfano, Julian Hotseller, Dia Hotseller and Chelsee Chauhan; the great-grandmother of Kristina, Yasmyn, Diana, Stephany, Tony, Daniel, Geovani, Leah, Cody, Athena, Joseph, Frank Jr., Jessica and Eddie; the great-great grandmother of Gabriel; sister of Thomas Scalfano, Steven Marchesi and Laura Marchesi; and her extended family, the Atlas family.
A funeral Mass was celebrated May 23 at St. Barbara Church in Brookfield followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
