Antoinette Witt

Antoinette M. Witt, 83, of Brookfield, died on Aug. 21, 2017. Born on June 19, 1934, she attended St. Mary’s Church, taught English to Polish-Americans, volunteered at Riverside Public School Library, and retired from United Stationers. She also worked as a hospital lab technician. She loved her family, puzzles, games, cards, trivia, crafts, books, history, traveling, and cottage life in Delavan, Wisconsin. 

Antoinette was the wife of 63 years to the late Carl M. Witt; the mother of Carl A. (Mary) Witt, Carol (Michael) Hekr, Christopher (Hope) Witt and Claire (George) Cervenka; the grandmother of Jenny (George) Paul, Cheryl (Murray) Moore, Melissa (Carlos) Ortiz, Adam (Tracy) Witt, Jessica (Scott) Kauth, Christine (Darren) Biggs, Andrew (K.C. Skelton) Witt, Gail Cervenka, Benjamin (Steff) Witt, Amy Cervenka, Carly (Abel) Handy, Casey Witt, and Jacklyn Cervenka; and the great-grandmother of 27. She will be painfully missed by all. 

Visitation was held on Aug. 24 and 25 at Hitzeman Funeral Home Ltd., then to St. Mary Church in Riverside for a funeral Mass, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. The family appreciates memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17 in Chicago, 60601.
