Winning a write-in election is darn near impossible in the first place. Winning and receiving the most votes in a field of candidates backed by an organization? You have to be kidding.
That goes to show you just what a force Kay Snyder could be. She was tough, smart, determined and fearless – and set off those attributes with a disarming, often “blue” sense of humor. Once you met Kay, you didn’t forget her.
It’s not at all surprising to us that she won the hearts of Riverside voters and an election against establishment candidates. Of course, she did.
Riverside has lost some giants in the past year or so, and Kay stands among them. Riverside will certainly miss her presence and energy – and, of course, all those beautiful antiques.
