James J. “Jim” McMahon, 78, of LaGrange Park, died on Sept 8, 2017.
Born on Jan. 14, 1939, he was an accountant for a trade union and a past grand knight of the Daniel Dowling Knights of Columbus in Chicago.
Mr. McMahon is survived by his wife, Avita D. McMahon (nee Maier); his children, Jim McMahon and Peggy (Bill) Niles; his grandchildren, B.J. Niles and Jimmy Niles; his brothers Charles (Judy) McMahon and Donald (Caroline) McMahon; and his many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 22 at St. Louise de Marillac Church, corner of 30th Street and Raymond Ave. in LaGrange Park, followed by private interment.
Hitzeman Funeral Home, Brookfield, handled arrangements.
