Violet H. Larson (nee Sobol), 93, of Elmhurst and a former longtime resident of North Riverside, has died.
She was an active member and past-president of the Mater Christi Guild and had retired as a registered nurse from Loyola University Medical Center.
Ms. Larsen was the wife of the late Irving; the mother of Patrick (Maria) and Michael Larson and Susan (David) Singleton; the grandmother of six; the great-grandmother of three; and the sister of the late Elmer (late Betty) and the late Edward (late Irene) Sobol.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated May 2 at 10 a.m. at Mater Christi Church followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) are appreciated.
