In mid-September, fourth-grade teacher Kim Smith of Congress Park School in Brookfield received a $1,100 donation from Burlington Coat Factory in North Riverside through Adopt-A-Classroom.org.

On Sept. 28, Smith’s students welcomed store manager Adam Keys into the classroom for a brief presentation to thank Burlington for its generosity. The funds will be used to purchase additional flexible seating options, organizers for student materials, and books for the classroom library.
