Since reading your article, “In Memoriam; Remembering Those We Lost in 2018” (News, Dec. 26, 2018), I couldn’t help but think of my mom Vlasta “Pat” Urban.

She was such a longtime and dedicated resident to North Riverside (since before I was born — some 69 years ago). She was called to her Heavenly home Jan. 8, 2018, just 7 months and 3 days short of her 100th birthday.

Although her picture never appeared on a Smuckers Jelly jar; she was elated to witness the Chicago Cubs make World Series history in 2016.

God Bless you mom and Nana, you will remain in our hearts and minds forever as we treasure our memories together with you. You were a wonderful mother, an extremely loving grandmother and the best neighbor and friend anyone could ever ask for!

With gratitude,

Charmaine, Todd, and Tim
