Ann C. Maggos, 79, of Houston, Texas, and formerly of Woodridge and Lyons, died Jan. 15, 2019.

For the better part of her life, Ms. Maggos proudly provided care and comfort to others as a registered nurse, early in her career in the trauma center at Cook County Hospital, and for many years working for veterans at Edward Hines VA Hospital. She also faced many personal mental health struggles in life, but her resiliency should serve as an inspiration to others.

Ms. Maggos was the loving recent companion of Bill “Willie” Carson; the mother of Dean (Michelle), Byron and William (Laura) Maggos; the grandmother of Matthew, Nick, John, Michael, Alex, and Anna; the great grandmother of Brooklyn and Connor Maggos; the daughter of the late Floyd and the late Gertrude Norris; the sister of the late Edward (Susan) Norris, Wayne (Susan) Norris, Joanne Norris and Joseph Norris; and the aunt of many nieces and nephews.
