Norbert A. Pacholski, 85, of Downers Grove, formerly of LaGrange Park, died March 2, 2019.
Mr. Pacholski was born Nov. 10, 1933. He worked as a laboratory technician for an industrial firm, and was an avid reader with a special interest in military history.
He volunteered at St. Louise de Marillac Church, Marriage Ministries, LaGrange Hospital and the LaGrange Park Library for many years. Mr. Pacholski was the first elected president of the Friends of the La Grange Park Library. He was also a charter member of the La Grange Council Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Pacholski was the husband of Patricia Pacholski (nee Slack); the brother of Stanley (Audrey) Pacholski, Robert (Vicki) Pacholski, Gerald (Karen) Pacholski and the late Aloysius (the late Jean) Pacholski; the brother-in-law of Saundra LaLonde and the late John (Jacqueline) Blank; the uncle of many nieces and nephews; a cherished friend of many; and a godfather of many.
Lying in state will be on Thursday, March 7 from 10 a.m. to the time of a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Louise de Marillac Church in La Grange Park. Interment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
