Richard T. Vlcek, 86, of Western Springs, died on March 24, 2019.
Born on May 9, 1932, Mr. Vlcek was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Church choir and heavily involved with the church communion ministry, the food pantry, and was a Realtor.
Mr. Vlcek was the husband of the late Rose E. Vlcek (nee Renella); the father of David M. (Karen) Vlcek, Thomas J. (Lillian) Vlcek and Steven R. (Melinda) Vlcek; and the grandfather of Joseph Vlcek, Catherine Vlcek, Natalie Vlcek and Hailey Vlcek.
Visitation is Tuesday, March 26 from 3 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, March 27 from 8:45 to 9:15 a.m. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, 9445 31st Street, Brookfield.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated March 27 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church, LaGrange, followed by entombment at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, Hillside.
