Agnes M. Stasica (nee Neary), 98, of Brookfield, died on April 21, 2019. Born on Sept. 12, 1920, she worked as a peanut picker in the candy business. She was a charter member of the Resurrection Club and the Daughters of the British Empire.
Agnes was the wife of the late Casimer C. Stasica for 60 years; the mother of Charles (Sue) Stasica and the late Terry Stasica; grandmother of Derrick Stasica, Lauren (Joe) Tortorich and Adam Stasica; and great-grandmother of Frankie, Ethan, Jude and Claire Tortorich.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 24 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Hitzeman Funeral Home Ltd., 9445 W. 31st St. in Brookfield, then to St. Louise de Marillac Church in La Grange Park for Mass at 11:30 a.m. followed by a committal service at Queen of Heaven Cemetery with private interment at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles.
