Classic cars on Grand Boulevard
The Brookfield Chamber of Commerce brings back its signature summer Classic Car and Motorcycle Show event on Sunday, July 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the 3700 block of Grand Boulevard in downtown Brookfield.
More than 100 vintage and other vehicles in 35 classes will line both sides of the downtown block. Admission is free for spectators, who can also enjoy music provided by a DJ. Food and beverages available for purchase.

Join blues musician Samuel Lozada for live music, unique storytelling and a brief history of the blues harmonica during his presentation “Mo’ Beat Blues” on Saturday, July 13 at 2 p.m. at the Brookfield Public Library, 3609 Grand Blvd.

LaGrange Craft Fair expands
The LaGrange Craft Fair returns this weekend to LaGrange Road from Burlington Avenue to Cossitt Avenue and on Harris Street from LaGrange Road to Ashland Avenue. And for the first time, the fair will span three days, from Friday, July 12 through Sunday, July 14. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
It features almost 200 artisans from the Midwest selling a wide assortment of one-of-a-kind items. Expanded free parking at Lyons Township High School, 100 S. Brainard Ave., with free shuttles on Saturday and Sunday every half hour.
Summer concerts continue
The sounds of summer heat up this week, beginning on Thursday, July 11 at the gazebo behind the North Riverside Village Commons, 2401 Desplaines Ave., with a the pop-rock sounds of the Gina Glocksen Band from 7 to 9 p.m.
Glocksen was the 9th place finalist of the 6th season of TV show “American Idol,” and her music “infuses the passion of a rock ‘n’ roll rebel with the precision and soul of a diva.”
Free admission. Funnel cakes and Jell-O shooters (adults only) available for purchase. Event also includes a Vendor Fair.
On Friday, July 12, head over to the band shell in Kiwanis Park, Arden and Brookfield avenues in Brookfield, to catch the pop/jazz/swing of Martini Lunch from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Free admission. There will also be food available for purchase and activities for kids.
