Edward “Ace” Borowczyk, 93, of Brookfield and formerly of Naperville, died on July 28, 2019.
Born on March 25, 1926, he was a U.S. Army veteran and worked as an estimator in the construction field.
Mr. Borowczyk was the husband of the late Therese C. Borowczyk (nee Konopacki); the father of Paul (Linda); the grandfather of Jesica (Lorenzo) Ramos, Kristina (Kevin Dybowski) Borowczyk and Shari (Jack) Amaral; the great-grandfather of Tyler Amaral, Olivia Amaral, Grayson Dybowski, Ava Dybowski, Rebekah Dybowski and Isaak Dybowski; the brother of the late Florian (the late Estelle) Borowczyk, Chester (the late Sophie) Borowczyk, Sophie (the late Julius) Padol, Anne (the late Lefty) Hudecek and Valeria Borowczyk; and the uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation is on Thursday, Aug. 1 from 3 to 8 p.m. and on Friday, Aug. 2 from 9 to 9:30 a.m. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, 9445 31st St. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Aug. 2 at 10 a.m. at St. Louise de Marillac in LaGrange Park, followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice.
