Stella Clark (nee Stura), 90, of Brookfield and formerly of Oak Park, died on Oct. 7, 2019.

Born on Dec. 31, 1928, near Warsaw, Poland, she immigrated to the United States at a young age. She worked in many occupations during her life, including as a sous chef, grocery store owner, machine operator and beloved nanny. 

She had a passion for socializing and making friends and was known for her cheerful quick wit, spitfire personality, honest opinions, and her engaging spirit. She enjoyed gardening and loved dogs and cats. 

Ms. Clark is survived by her children, Terri (Masso) Carlton and John (Mikki) Wright; her grandchildren, Mercedes Carlton, Allison (Bob) Coldren, William Wright and Sophia Wright; and her great-grandchildren, RJ, Jon and Alex Coldren. Private services have been held
