After 60 years of Riverside living, I am voting no on the library referendum, and not without several good reasons.

I defy anyone using an aluminum walker not to be in fear of their lives or falling trying to get into the library. First, the handicapped spots in from of the library are unsafe because of the two-land traffic whizzing by as you try to exit your car and retrieve your walker.

Second, the ramp is in decrepit shape and you are in danger advancing up or coming down. And the bike racks are a joke. Shelves are too high or too low without taking your life in your hands while using a walker.

Shame on you, Riverside.
