WET Class for adults at RBHS
Riverside-Brookfield High School, 160 Ridgewood Road in Riverside, invites adults to attend its spring Water Exercise Techniques (WET) Class, which will meet Wednesday nights from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. beginning March 18 through May 22.
The spring session costs $54 for nine classes. It’s a water-based exercise class meant to elevate heart rate and muscular strength, utilizing water as resistance. No swimming is involved.

HCA Pancake Breakfast
The Hollywood Citizens Association will host its annual pancake breakfast fundraiser on Saturday, March 14 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Hollywood House, 3435 Hollywood Ave. in Brookfield.
Enjoy a breakfast featuring pancakes, sausage, fruit, juice and coffee while chatting with your neighbors and entering a raffle for some great prizes. Afterward, stop by Hollywood School next door for their Family Science and Pi Day event.
Pancake breakfast tickets are $5 per person. Children under 3 eat free. Profits support the Hollywood House and its mission as a resource for the community and local schools.
Intergenerational Crafts at North Riverside Library (THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED)
North Riverside Public Library, 2400 Desplaines Ave., is rolling out its new Intergenerational Crafts series, aimed at grandparents and grandchildren, grandaunts and uncles and great-nieces and nephews, neighbors and little buddies or any mix of ages.
On Saturday, March 14, at 2 p.m. the series kicks off with Heirloom Recipe Tea Towels where adults supply a recipe to write on a tea towel to be decorated by the pair. The program is funded by Age Options.
Brookfield Adopt-A-Spot signup
The Brookfield Beautification Commission will hold its 2020 Adopt-A-Spot volunteer signup on Saturday, March 14 at the Brookfield Village Hall, 8820 Brookfield Ave., from 9 to 11 a.m.
Groups, youth organizations, clubs, neighbors, families and individuals are invited to choose a favorite park or other public space to help clean up throughout the year. Set your own schedule. Work at your own pace. Make a difference in your community.

New Colony Six alum Ronnie Rice performs in LaGrange
