Ruth I. Anselmi (nee Brown), 91, of Lyons, died April 24, 2020 at LaGrange Memorial Hospital.
Ms. Anselmi was born March 29, 1929 in Bald Knob, Arkansas. She was an emergency room receptionist at a hospital before retiring. She was an avid gardener, both flowers and vegetables, and enjoyed cooking and baking.
She was a member of Cornerstone Community Church in Brookfield, a Sunday school teacher, Awana Club leader, Costello School PTO president and a member of the Ladies Group at church.
Ms. Anselmi was the wife of the late Albert; the mother of Brenda (Robert) Markgraf, Timothy Anselmi and Janet (late James) Vacala; the grandmother of Daniel (Christina) Markgraf, Jason (Alexsandra) Markgraf, Adam (Julie) Markgraf, Stephanie (Matthew) Johnson and the late Nicholas Vacala; the great grandmother of Olivia Johnson; the sister of Genevia and the late Dorothy, Helen, Gloria, James, Charles and William; and the aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions all funeral services are private. A memorial service at Cornerstone Community Church will be announced at a later date.
