Ernie Miller, 70, died May 1, 2020 in his Brookfield home with his beloved wife of 45 years by his side.
Mr. Miller — better known as Dad, Grandpa, Papa, Brother or Uncle Ern — was born on Jan. 11, 1950 to the late Eleanor and Ernest Miller. He owned a window treatment business.
It didn’t take much to make Ernie happy — fishing, dancing, music, a cold one and a good campfire. He really loved the simple things in life, but loved his family even more. He was a devoted husband and father. He was a wonderful fun loving grandpa. His grandchildren were definitely his pride and joy.
Mr. Miller will be remembered for his laughter, happy demeanor, his goofy dance and his sing-alongs. He brought joy to so many as the life of the party. But when he was tired, and had had enough he would simply say, “I’m going to check on the dog.” Family and friends always knew he wouldn’t be back.
He was the husband of Judith; the father of Sandra (Nathan) Linneman, Adam (Emily) Miller and Steven Miller; the grandfather of Rhys, Pyrs and Maggie; and the brother of Carol (Gary) Strasser. He will also be missed and is loved by many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and even more nieces and nephews.
Services are private. Interment is at Chippewa Flowage, Wisconsin. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
