Raymond J. Muntges, 98, of Brookfield and formerly of Niles, died April 29, 2020.
Mr. Muntges was born Jan. 1, 1922. He was a devoted and loyal fan of the Green Bay Packers, the White Sox and Notre Dame football. He was also an alumnus and longtime member of the Neighborhood Boys and Girls Club.
He was the husband of the late Ruth (nee Warnstedt) and the late Lydia (nee Kraft); the father of Mary (Thomas) Vyskocil and John (Celia) Muntges; the grandfather of Jacqie (fiancé Marc Stone) Vyskocil, Tommy Vyskocil and Daniel, Anne (Damian), Leah and Alex Muntges; the great grandfather of Edie, Liam and Kieran; the step-father of the late Anthony (Tony) and the late Ruthann (Warnstedt) Altmayer, Russell and the late Carol (Doerner) Warnstedt Jr, the late Robert Warnstedt, the late Frank and the late Roberta (Warnstedt) Carone; the step-grandfather of Scott and Lynn (Cahoon) Altmayer, Dan and Birgitt (Bok) Altmayer, Ira and Patricia “Patti” (Altmayer) Thomason, Vincent and Lauren (Auer) Carone, Terry and Debbie (Burkemper) Altmayer, Kris (Warnstedt) and John Schmitt, the late Richard Carone, Sue (Warnstedt), Steve Wigner and Tim and Kim (Lebus) Carone; the step-great grandfather of Kirsten (Dan) O’Leary, Heidi (Brian) Kempert and Sonja Altmayer, Anthony (Tony) and Nathan Thomason, Tristan and Rylan Carone, the late Zachary Altmayer, Kelsey and Kaitlyn Altmayer, Michael Schmitt, Karsyn and Tyler Carone, Jamie and Melanie Wigner and step-great-great-grandfather to eight.
