Ronald L. Kloss, 87, of Brookfield, died May 11, 2020 at Plymouth Place in LaGrange Park.

Mr. Kloss was born March 8, 1933 in Berwyn to the late Clifford and late Nell (nee Kinsley) Kloss. He received a bachelor’s degree in education and music from DePaul University and worked as a teacher for the South Berwyn School District 100 for 34 years, retiring in 1992.   

He was a member of the First Congregational Church of LaGrange and enjoyed reading, fishing, golf, writing, music, Cubs baseball, birding New York Times crossword puzzles, gardening, cycling and walking.

Mr. Kloss was the husband of the late Dolores (nee Bomrad); the father of Laura Day, Janet (John) Bednar and Jim (Linda) Kloss; the grandfather of Derek Day, Katie Bednar, Ryan Bednar, Meghan Kloss, Emma Kloss and McKenna Kloss; the brother of the late Corinne Robertson; and the uncle of Jack Robertson and Scott Robertson. 

Private services have been held. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
