Ethel L. Marousek (nee Carlson), 96, of North Riverside, died May 21, 2020.
Ms. Marousek was born Aug. 18, 1923. She worked as a customer service representative for a retail sales company and was a longtime member of Pathway to Adventure Council of the Boy Scouts of America. The council also bestowed on her the Silver Beaver Award, given to those “of exceptional character who have provided distinguished service within a council.”
She was the wife of the late James “Jim” F. Marousek Jr.; the mother of Gregg J. (Karen Domenico) Marousek and the late Janet L. (James) Fredenburg; the grandmother of Robert Renzas II; the great grandma of Thomas and Genevieve; and the sister of the late Beatrice Spillane and Edwin E. Carlson.
Due to COVID-19 regulations, the family has elected to keep all services and interment private. Interment is at Mt. Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst.
In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Unity Lutheran Church of Berwyn or charity of your choice.
