Kay Krakora (nee Greco), 83, a resident of Brookfield for over 50 years, died June 6, 2020.

Ms. Krakora was born in Berwyn to the late Anthony and Violet Heisman. 

She adored every moment that she spent with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends. She simply enjoyed reading a book to feeding the birds, knitting, sewing and even going out to lunch. 

Ms. Krakora took pride in her many years working at University of Illinois-Chicago in the Department of Graduate Medical Education with a group of ladies who became lifelong friends.

She was married for 61 years and preceded in death by the love of her life, the late Joseph Krakora. She was the mother of Pam (Tom) Ackerman, Kathy (Tony) Mogorovic, and Dina (Kevin) Cox; the grandmother of Louie (Jessica), Zachary and Anna Dietz; Megan and Sarah Mogorovic; Jason and Katelyn Cox; the great grandmother of Teagan Dietz; the sister of Joanne (Jim) Guastella; the cousin of MaryAnn Baur; the aunt of Dan and Mike (Chrissy) Guastella; and the great aunt of Grace and Samantha Guastella.

Funeral services are private and arrangements have been made by Woodlawn Funeral Home, Forest Park.
