In response to the article about spotty and late mail delivery (“Spotty mail delivery has residents frustrated,” News, May 19), a week ago I received a birthday card for my 70th birthday, which was November 2020.
I called my friend to confirm that she just didn’t get the date wrong. She was as shocked as I was that it took six months to arrive. The strange thing is that the postmark is dated May 13, 2021. So where was it all this time?
I live in Riverside, just north of the train. I have also experienced getting mail about four times a week. I know this is true as I donate to some organizations, and with that you constantly receive daily requests.
