LaGrange Park Chamber of Commerce named Hitzeman Funeral Home in Brookfield as its Business of the Year, formally recognizing owner Charles Hitzeman, his wife Danielle, his family and the staff of Hitzeman Funeral Home at a dinner at Mattone’s Restaurant in LaGrange Park on Oct. 7.

Hitzeman Funeral Home has been an active and supporting member of the LaGrange Park Chamber since its origin, and the business has serves families in Brookfield and LaGrange Park for more than seven decades.

“We live here, and sponsor events to help the community,” said Chuck Hitzeman in a press release. “We are proud to serve LaGrange Park, Brookfield and all our surrounding communities. I live in LaGrange Park, I have staff that live here, my mom has lived here all of her life. My parents raised their family here and we are doing the same. I am very passionate about LaGrange Park’s future, our neighbors, their well-being and the continued growth and success of our community.”

Hitzeman also thanked his staff for their dedication, professionalism and compassion, qualities appreciated by those calling on the funeral home to handle funeral services.

“I have personally called upon Hitzeman Funeral Home on behalf of my family, and they helped me so much during that difficult time,” said Sheri Sauer, chamber president and realtor for @properties.
