Federal, state and local law enforcement officers reportedly have arrested the man suspected of gunning down two people inside a Riverside apartment last month.

Carl Curry, 33, was taken into custody at a house in Hyannis, Massachusetts, which is on Cape Cod at about 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 9, according to ASPnews.org, a blog published by the Massachusetts State Police.
Officers involved in the arrest included personnel from the Massachusetts State Police, the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force and Barnstable, Massachusetts, police. According to MSPnews.org, Great Lakes Regional Task Force of the U.S. Marshal gathered evidence indicating Curry was hiding from authorities with relatives.
Riverside police obtained a warrant for Curry’s arrest on Dec. 9, though he was not identified at the time as a suspect by police. Curry is suspected of fatally shooting 38-year-old Jeremy Lane and 31-year-old Tiata Johnson inside a third-floor apartment at 63 Forest Ave. on Nov. 13.
Curry is being held in Barnstable, Massachusetts, charged with being a fugitive from justice. He may also be charged with violating parole in connection with a 2019 conviction in Illinois for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
He was sentenced to six years for that offense and was paroled from the Sheridan Correctional Center on Aug. 16. He has prior convictions for unlawful restraint and drug-related offenses.
According to ASPnews.org, prosecutors in Massachusetts are working to have Curry extradited to face charges in Illinois.
