Philip Wanderer, 69, of Brookfield, died Jan. 29, 2022.
Mr. Wanderer served in the U.S. Air Force and was employed by the U.S Postal Service. He was an avid gardener and amateur chef was happily married to the love of his life for over 40 years. His legacy will live on in his beloved children and grandchildren.
He was the husband of Debra Wanderer (nee Schumacher); the father of Katie (Jon) Poulopoulos, Amanda (Carlos) Lazaro, Sara (Ian) Fitzgerald and Jakob Wanderer; the grandfather of Alex, Devan, Grace, Jack, Ava, Ella, Owen and Mia; and the brother of Walter Wanderer Jr., Rev. Douglas (Laurie) Wanderer and the late Arthur (Ruthann) Wanderer.
Visitation is Thursday, Feb. 3 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, 9445 31st St., Brookfield. Lying in State on Friday, Feb. 4 from 10 a.m. to time of service at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, corner of Park and Grant Ave, Brookfield.
Per state mandate, all guests attending any indoor services are required to wear a mask. Interment is at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery, Oakbrook Terrace.
