Evelyn Romolt (nee Goldberg), died suddenly on Feb. 26, 2022 at the age of 92.
Ms. Romolt loved her family, her cats, the Coffee Girls, her neighbors and her years working in accounts payable at Babson Bros. She was interested in everyone’s story and was a true people person.
She was an avid reader and was very interested in current events. She was a lifelong Democrat and proud of her Jewish heritage. Over the years Ms. Romolt was a Cub Scout den mother and volunteered at many of her children’s school events. She also volunteered at MacNeal Hospital and the Brookfield Library.
The family would like to acknowledge Mike K. and the late John C. With their support, Ms. Romolt was able to remain in her beloved Hollywood home.
Ms. Romolt was the wife of the late Oscar, having been married for 64 years. She was the daughter of the late Esther and Harry; the sister of the late Clarence, Allen “Sonny” and Henrietta; and the sister-in-law of the late Ben, Abe, Clara and Veta.
Her greatest joy was being a mother to Ray (Shelly), Curtis (Christine) and the late Bennett. Her grandchildren Courtney, Lauren (Jake), Caitlin and Maddie, were a constant source of pride. She was thrilled when her great granddaughter, Mckenzie arrived.
Evelyn will be missed by so many. May her memory be a blessing. To honor her life, share a cup of coffee and some conversation with a friend.
Visitation and services will be held privately. Private interment at Menorah Gardens Cemetery, Broadview.
