Nicole D. Sheputis (nee Durczak), 52, of Brookfield and formerly of Cicero, died March 3, 2022.
Ms. Sheputis was born April 2, 1969 and worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs in administration based at Hines V.A. Hospital. She attended Trinity High School and graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration.
She enjoyed spending weekends in New Buffalo, Michigan, boating and spending time with friends.
Ms. Sheputis was the wife of the late David Robert; the daughter of James Durczak and Carol (nee Peterson) Onesti; the niece of Diane (Patrick) Chambers, Marianne (Rocco Esposito) Bonavolante and Jack (Becky) Durczak; the cousin of Michelle (Ryan) Nottestad, Deborah (Frank) Nosek, Kimberly (Ron) Macchia and Jim (Megan) Durczak; a fond friend of many; and the devoted dog mom of Chloe.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 10 at 10:30 a.m. Visitation is on Wednesday, March 9 from 3 to 9 p.m. at Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home, 2447 Desplaines Ave., North Riverside. A chapel service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 10 at 10:30 a.m. Interment is at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
